Co-op This is not a certification organization or association.

However the Co-op has a strong historical record in "soundly sourcing" its products and was a pioneer of introducing Fairtrade products into its stores.

It is little known that the Co-operative group also has a clothing arm which manufactures company clothing. The group is working toward introducing products made from Fairtrade certified cotton.

The Co-operative company clothing, like the retail chain, follows the Trading Group Sound Sourcing Code of Conduct, developed with reference to the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions.

The products are not organic but the Co-op have a good historical, ongoing record and are the only large scale manufacturer of company clothing which follow the above codes of conduct.

We have included some of their products in our range especially where we feel they offer the best, and sometimes the only option with high standards.
