working withcarbon trust FWF checks whether members are trying hard enough to comply with the Code of Labour Practices in the factories. Each year FWF reviews the work plan of each member to see whether the planned activities contribute adequately to this and checks to see whether the work plan has been carried out as agreed.

Companies who become a member of FWF commit themselves to the gradual introduction of the Code of Labour Practices in all factories where they produce garments. In order to be able to verify the level of the labour conditions and the quality of the improvement processes at all factories, it is very important for FWF that members provide FWF with an up-to-date and complete overview of their supplier companies. In order to prove that this overview is a truthful representation, each year every member has an accountant draft a declaration that compares the list of supplier companies with the invoices of the orders placed at the supplier companies. www.fairwear.nl click on top left of the web page for the English version.
