Thread and Ethics

The thread we use for the embroidery of your logo is the finishing touch. It needs to be high quality, hold its colour and or course reflect our commitment to excellent labour practice and care for our planet.

We have good news! The Soil Association has just certified that the thread meets the requirements for  GOTS organic standards for non organic accessories. A great step foward. The thread is made mostly from pine which managed in a sustainable way and mixed together with cotton and plant waste

All the dyes used for the thread are either Oeko Tex certified or ISO certified.

The rayon is manufactured in Germany and:-

• Is biodegradable
• Does not contain any harmful substances
• Oeko-Tex certified Class 1 (suitable for use on baby clothes)
• Water is recycled directly back into a purification plant controlled by strict German environmental laws
• Uses AQUAZERO processes which reduces the use of water in the dying process by 60%
• Energy Transfer Heat Exchange drying system which uses recycled heat means a 40% reduction in overall consumption of energy
